We ARE Crazy

Nash got into PT grad school!!! Yeah, I know that is old news; but now that he is in the reality of him not being able to work or only working VERY little is starting to sink in. We found out after Sari was born that once Emory turned 6 we would qualify for a 4 bedroom instead of a 3 bedroom. When Nash was accepted here we were happy because we thought we weren't going to have to move. But when we heard that we could get something bigger the moving bug bit. Well truthfully we had decided we would browse the market and see if we could find anything BETTER than where we are cause we could truthfully stay here and be fine. And I had been praying that we could find something that would be better for us space wise and financially. The only issue with staying here is we are at the limit for our housing assistance so we don't get any help for our utilities. So when I was looking at places I wanted to find something under the limit....ha ha ha to find something under the limit is just plain insane! Especially here in pocatello....there are NO 4 bedroom apartments...okay there are a few but they either don't have a garage or they are in the not so good parts of town. To find a 4 bedroom it is usually a duplex or a house which means the rent is steep and you usually have to pay all of the utilities.

So last Monday (Memorial day) after our hike we decided to drive home through the neighborhoods to see if we could see anything to rent. We found one and called on it, but alas it was too much but the guy had another one and would be willing to meet us there in a half hour. To kill time we decided to go drive by another house we had seen online. We pulled up and sat in the driveway for like 2 minutes and then decided to go. As we were pulling out of the driveway our friend who is the landlord pulled up and took the for rent sign out of the yard. We started talking to him and found out he had rented the house....BUT that he just found out that one of his other apartments had just opened up and would we like to look at it. We said sure and we followed him down the street....

He took us to a little side street with 4 duplexes, they are older and if we had just been driving by on our own I don't think we would've stopped. But he was able to take us in one. And here are the stats.... 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, living room, and family room, a yard (that they take care of), lots of parking, and a garage, a mud room, 1500 sq feet, and the water/sewage/garbage bill is included... all for $650!!!! The only down side is there is no air conditioning :(

So needless to say since we would have a better area for the kids to play, more space, and its $100 less than our allotment for a 3 bedroom on housing means we are moving!

WOW I really shouldn't pray about things...... LOL

In the last 4 years we sold our house in Clinton, moved into the Ogden house and moved half of our stuff to my parents, moved to Ridge Crest in Pocatello, moved to Avalon Park, moved to Pheasant Ridge and moved the rest of our stuff up to pocatello, and now we will be moving again....................

We are not excited about having to move and all the work that it will take. But we know its the right thing to do for our family.... So if you want to help it will be the last weekend of June!!!

sounds like a lot of work... But well worth it to give you more space for less money...

That sounds like us. We have moved five times in six and half years. I hate moving, but I guess that is part of life.
