Hogle Zoo :)

Yesterday we also went to Hogle Zoo and had a marvelous time! Never again will we attempt the zoo during the summer or during the weekend :) The day was beautiful and we had it almost to ourselves! This is at the end of our time at the Zoo....I can't load any of my other pictures because I've gone over my memory limit for this blog! It only took close to 5 years to do so :D

Yesterday we arrived in SLC about a hour before we needed to meet Daddy for lunch so we went and walked around Temple square for a little bit :) It was a GORGEOUS day! And we had fun at the temple until Emory tripped on the cobblestones and cut his hand :(

Happy Halloween...as you can see it was pouring on our way to my parents church for trunk or treat...I'm SOOOO glad they moved it inside (even tho it was mass chaos!) The kids got easily 8lbs of candy between them all and it was alot of fun! My bestest friend Brandy came and had fun with my crazy kids :D

Sari is trouble :D She LOVES dresses and INSISTS on wearing them! She also likes to color and thinks she is "petty" (pretty) when she colors on herself. She really likes our new piano and has taught herself how to get up and turn it on....lovely! Just what a mommy wants, more noise ;)

Its a good thing she is CUTE!!!!

The rest of Nash's Birthday weekend

Since Nash was sick and we had kids throwing up with diarrhea we just stayed home.

We made orange chocolate cupcakes and they were YUMMY!

We also had Costa Vida for dinner :D

It was nice to just spend time with him and relax!

Friday evening we did our annual family pictures!

With three girls and me it took me 3 hours to get us ready.....

Nash was a hour late getting home thanks to being stuck at school.....

I am glad they are done!!!!!

(I took these pictures in our back yard before we left to go...cause I'm never sure their hair will last for a car ride....BUT it did this time!)

And I always forget but TODDLERS do NOT like to SIT STILL for ANY amount of TIME....LOL it was interesting photo shoot ;)

We were lucky enough to have my parents and sister come up and watch the kids while we were gone. They had a blast :D This is our first picture with all 5 grandkids :) (I can't believe how big my kids are compared to Mr Peanut Squishy Cheeks) We are so glad they could all come up and spend time with us. I was in some big need of snuggling Paxton Baby :D

To celebrate making it to almost 10 years of marriage we went on a overnighter! It was soooooo NICE, thanks to having little ones we've only left our kids over night 3 times (the last time being 5 years ago) So our mini vacation was very needed :D We went to Lions Gate Manor at Lava Hot Springs :) It was beautiful, clean, refreshing, gorgeous, and the tub was marvelous (I want one!). Anyways I highly recommend it for a get away and if you do go please say we referred you so we can get a discount next time we go :D One reason why this bed and breakfast is different is its owned by a LDS family and there are pictures of Jesus in different rooms and its just very peaceful feeling. This is our view from our rooms balcony we stayed in the Roman Bath and I want to go back again! Thanks honey for a wonderful get away and for a wonderful almost 10 years!!!!

Today was our Annual Primary Program so everyone had to be super gussied up for the event. Anya, Emory, and RaeLee did a great job and the whole program turned out pretty good (if I do say so myself) :)

Can anyone tell me how a baby turns into a beautiful young girl??? I can't believe my little tiny fuzzy haired baby is now 9! Anya you are adorable and full of fun! You love to ride your bike and tell stories. On Wed we FINALLY got to see baby Paxton (and Tara and Preston) ;) He is adorable and looks alot like my kids but different at the same time :) I wanted to hold him ALOT more than I got to, thanks to Sari being jealous and being super busy :) I can't wait ti snuggle him again!

I was lucky enough to be included in the birthing room by phone :) It was so amazing! one second I could hear the nurse helping Tara count and the next a baby was letting EVERYONE know he was happier inside :) He has a great pair of lungs! Tara had a nice smooth labor and a perfect pregnancy. I am so happy for her and I'll post a picture of him once she gets some on her blog :)

Nash's leg this morning :) he went to the Dr. and the good news is he does not have a blood clot :) (one of the risks of surgery) but the vein in his thigh hasn't completely shut off yet, so he gets to go back in a week for another ultrasound :0

Our TV died a few days ago and we've been super good with our money this summer...so we went and got our selves this beauty! We LOVE the picture and I LOVE how much room it saves!

On Thursday Nash had surgery to remove these beautiful varicose veins :) He has been pretty good about it all (amazingly) and we're just glad that we could get them taken care of before they really started causing more serious problems! (my favorite part of it all was watching him shave his own leg....LOL)

This week was the first of the August Birthday's :) It was Auntie Tara's birthday on the 4th and we did a impromptu pool party in honor of her :) I love the difference in how the girls play in the pool versus the boys!

For the first time in our almost 10 years of marriage we went camping ALL by ourselves :) We went to Big Springs, its by Lava Hot Springs and we had a BLAST!!! I took the first few pictures within the first 30 min of being there...we "thought" that this was as dirty as Sari could get....NOPE as you scroll down you will see her at her finest :) We did lots of hikes and went swimming at Lava. We had a really big thunderstorm one night and the kids weren't sure how to react to it. We learned that cheap rope breaks easily when you have 6 people in it to weaken it and then push a daddy in it as hard as you can....And that when a beetle of large size lands on Emory he can scream and jump like a GIRL! We did lots of painting and lots of cross stitching. It was alot of fun and well worth all the time and effort of packing! LOL Anyways there are lots of pictures cause I liked them all and its my blog so I can post them ;) (there are also new pictures of other things after this camping one so keep scrolling!)

Last friday Nash had his LAST test of this YEAR :) YES we finished a YEAR of Grad. school and we are all alive! I am so proud of him he got all As and A-s the entire YEAR!!!! He worked so hard and now we are so glad to have a MONTH to enjoy as a family...which we all NEED badly!

We celebrated by meeting my parents at Downata Hot Springs and spent the day swimming, picnicking, and playing games. It was so much fun and well deserved. I had pictures of us swimming but they were somehow erased from my camera....GRRRRRRR

Two weeks ago Sari figured out how to climb chairs and that there is all sorts of good things to eat on the table thanks to RaeLee :D So now I have to watch her like a hawk cause she is speedy at climbing up anything!

We enjoyed our morning at Scout Mountain we did the hike with the girls (Rae didn't complain once) and had fun exploring, throwing the baseball, and watching Sari walk an run up and down the hill :)

Anya is part of Activity girls and we have the most awesome Leaders! On Friday they took the girls up to Scout Mountain camp ground and had a picnic and went on a hike :) We have a great bunch of girls and it looked like they all had a blast :D

Happy 4th of July! We had a fun weekend :) We bought our own and did a little show on sat. And on Sun we had a BBQ with our friends the Finlayson's and did another little show while we waited for Pocatello's fireworks. We are so thankful for our country and we enjoyed celebrating our freedoms :)

June 19th 2010 was a very important day! It was Tara Jean's baby shower :) I am so excited to finally get a baby nephew to love (there are some on Nash's side...but its not the same as your own sister having a baby) :) Can't wait for Mr Paxton to get here and I hope you had a blast at your party :) Sari had alot of fun in the fountain, and then enjoyed a nap. My kids loved all the balloons and your painted toes matched perfectly....and your baby bump out did Michelle's :)

Dear RaeLee,

I took these pictures two weeks ago at your Tee-ball game. Your coach thought she could get you to play ball since I could not. You were NOT amused at ALL! And since then you haven't been on the field. And I'm proud of you for at least standing up and cheering for your team during your games. Cause as long as you do that you still get to have the team snack at the end :)

I really hope that you keep your spunk through out your life and that you respond like this to ANYTHING you don't feel is right to do....like drugs, or boys, or other naughty things. But my dear Rae you won't get to play tee-ball again till you are throwing fits like this to get ON the field instead of off. ;)

Bear Lake Half Marathon (Nash 13.1 miles) and 10K (Heather 6.2 miles)

All ready to get on the bus! I had to wait for about a half hour and it was raining the whole time! I was SOOOO worried that it was going to rain the whole race!!!

Nash about 15 min in or so and doing great!

It didn't rain on us but we had storms all around us!

In fact if you notice both Nash and I started taking layers off :) Here I am passing my gloves to my dad...he was great! He spent the whole morning driving between Nash and I taking pictures and clothes :)

YEAH! I get to walk and get a drink...this is at the half way point!

I'm all done!!! I finished so strong I ran past my dad and he missed getting a finish line shot of me :(

I went and met Nash farther down to give him a extra boost (I could've used one) and I ran a little ways with him but he was SOOOO stinkin fast I was GLAD to go stand by my mom!

Adventures of RaeLee the no Tee Ball Girl! Well today we got her to go to the out field for about 10 seconds....you can see she wasn't liking that at ALL! I "got" the privilege of batting with her :/ The first time she kinda held the bat and we hit it off the tee and so we went to first....ok so I went to first and she went half way before she pulled away yelling and stomped off the field like earlier. Yeah I wasn't embarrassed at all....I was able to get her to stand on the other side of the fence while her team was in the outfield the second time (so that was a little bit better). Then it was her turn to bat again...she put her little hands into fists and wouldn't even hold the bat, so I wrapped my hands around hers and we hit the ball of the tee together. Then we walked half way till she decided to try and sit down so I picked her up and carried her to first. Then we went to second (she decided to stop walking so I was half dragging her). By then she figured I really ment that we were going to go to all the bases, so she walked willingly to third and then HOME! Yeah RaeLee!!!! After making it all the way everyone was cheering for her, to which she responded by glaring the death glare at everyone and refusing any high fives (even from her coach). But after everyone started ignoring her she decided she was proud of herself and let me take a happy picture of her. RaeLee I love you....but I am scared of your teenage years!!!

Tee Ball game 2.....Emory had a great game! He got lots of kids out (not that it really counted) and he was the first one to bat (which he thought was super cool) and he even got one hit to go out to the grass :) and he had to run all the way to second base! RaeLee on the other hand....um lets just say she is trying ALL of my patience. She was all excited about the game until we got there and then she would NOT have anything to do with going on the field...at least she wasn't throwing fits like last week...... It was raining the entire game and it was cold again. I wonder if summer will ever come???

Last Friday we took a family day and went down to Salt Lake City on the Frontrunner! It was alot of fun to go on the train :) We took it down to the Gateway and went to the Planetarium and the Discovery's Children Museum. It was a long but very good day :)

Nash and I are AWESOME!

WE just completed our "practice" runs :)

Nash 13.15 miles in 2 hour and 17 minutes!!!!

Heather 6.2 miles in 74 minutes and 24 seconds!!!! (1 hour 14 min 24 sec)

We are now both really tired but we're not dead...surprise!!!

OTHER NEWS we have picked up a Coxsackie virus from somewhere (hand, foot, and mouth disease) It has been going through my kids 1 by 1 this week and its not pleasant. They have had fevers from 2 - 5 days and have sores in their mouths (Sari has it on her hands and feet too) Emory just started his fever this morning and it takes about 7 days before he's not contagious anymore....so we might not be going to Utah next weekend.......ugh! The poor kids couldn't go to their last soccer game because of being sick, but it was cancelled at the last minute thanks to SNOW! yes SNOW! But their coach was great and brought them their trophies and pictures, they are so proud of themselves and so am I. They tired their hardest and played wonderfully it was a very fun season!!!

I can't believe that my sweet tiny baby boy is now 7! That means he has lived a year for each week he lived in the NICU :) Emory we are so proud of you! You are turning into quiet the little gentleman, you are willing to work hard and find joy in life. Thank you for teaching me how to not be afraid and to embrace everyday as it comes. You are always going to be my little miracle :)

Emory had a fun day! (Well it would've been funner without the snow...but we made due) He got to watch movies!!! We went out to eat to Texas Roadhouse (the place where Elephants like to eat peanuts...or the place that has peanuts that Elephants like to eat....LOL) Poor Emory had to wait all day for Daddy to come home to open his gifts and it just about killed him. He also liked being told happy birthday by everyone, thanks for all the phone calls! He got alot of things dealing with Dragons...he has liked them for a while now :)

BRRRRRRR today it was soooooooo freakin' cold! It's the first of may and we were all in our winter coats! I even left Rae and Sari at home with daddy and I'm SO glad I did cause they would've been whining the whole time! We won again....3 to 1 :) Anya was really going after the ball today and Emory is always in the action...he is great at defending our goal! He gets in front of the kids and just kicks the ball back the other way (even if the kid is twice his size) LOL

Today we became artists :) We learned about colors and how they can make us feel. We learned how to use our water colors without mixing colors....except RaeLee LOL We looked at a book full of different paintings and decided what we liked and didn't like....Emory liked all the fighting/war pictures and Anya liked all the ladies in pretty dresses :) And they both preferred pictures that were in focus, they didn't like the blurred or crazy ones....LOL

Running UPDATE :)

I just ran my first ever 5K and I went beyond it.....

I just did 3.557 miles in 45 minutes

I am TIRED....I don't hurt but man is it a fight to make myself move :/ My WHOLE body is tired - even my fingers are tired LOL :)

But I FEEL marvelous!!!

Reading UPDATE:

Emory finished his first ever Magic Treehouse book today :) Anya is reading more and more all the time and is even picking up books to read for fun! RaeLee is wanting to know her letters and is writing them all the time :)

Outdoor UPDATE:

Anya is doing great on her bike she is now able to turn at the end of the driveway and go non-stop for as long as she wants. Emory is fast and dangerous and fun to watch! RaeLee demanded her training wheels off last night and is starting to learn how to ride without them.... Sari's favorite things are DIRT DIRT and SWINGS :) And going fast in her car!

Nash UPDATE:

He is busy busy busy busy busy....and when he becomes a little less busy he will be in Utah away from us...........He is doing amazingly well! There is NO WAY that I could do all that he does and spend the time with us that he does and be able to keep going all the time! I am soooo proud of him!!!!

GOOOOO Cheetas!!!! we won again 4-3 :) Rae fell down on the way to the field :( shes been crying ever since... I'm sad cause she ripped my favorite pair of pants of hers.... oh well. It was a nice morning and the kids had a blast! Love you Nash!!!!

On Wednesday afternoon the nap gods smiled upon me and all 4 fell asleep at the same time! I did not tell any of them to take a nap.....it was weird yet WONDERFUL! I seriously think its the first time they all took a nap at the same time since Sari was born :)

Anya figured out how to get on her bike and get started ALL by herself yesterday! Now she only wants to ride her bike. We are so proud of her!!!

Sari LOVES the car! The faster the better :)

Anya and Emory had their first ever soccer game yesterday! The Cheetas scored 7 goals and the Rockets scored 1 :) It was chilly but it was nice to be outside. Sari had a blast walking and crawling around. RaeLee had fun with her BFF Kayleigh but decided by the end that things were rather boring....LOL

We are going to be making some big changes in our lives that I'll fill you all in on later. Right now I have realized how much good VALIDATION does in our lives and how we all need a good dose of it. And that when positive things turn to negative they also impact us just as much. So enjoy a good movie that hit a spot in my heart....

On Easter Sari decided to really start walking! She will now independently start walking and go 3 or 4 feet before she decides to crawl :) So little by little she is doing it!!!

In Nash's family growing up the Easter bunny would HIDE their baskets. So we've carried on the tradition (which my parents thought was funny) So Emory woke up first and before anyone could stop him, he began to HUNT for baskets. He says he didn't find his own....but he found it really really fast after we said he could! It was a great Easter and we're very glad my parents were able to come and spend it with us! I hope everyone else had a wonderful family filled day too! Oh and after months of trying on my Dad's part Sari FINALLY decided he is a okay guy and spent lots of time sitting with him. :)

Finding Easter Eggs was fun and COLD....brrrrrr I'm sooo ready for the weather to warm up, so I had to take a picture of the dandelions I saw :) that means YES things really are going to warm up soon! RaeLee spent the egg hunt pouting cause it was cold and windy, the rest of the kids had a blast! Sari especially got a kick out of finding the eggs :) After the egg hunt we enjoyed playing with the toys from the Easter bunny and spending time with grammy and pops. Sari enjoyed wearing her bloomers on her head :)

Hair cut time again....next time it will be even shorter. I like it, but I think the top and front is still too long. I wish people would be braver when I ask them to cut my hair short. They NEVER go all the way. oh well its cute.

Sari is getting more personality every day! We are getting a kick out of all her new ideas and her silly smiles. She is signing for food all the time and is very vocal :) She is standing independently and she will take 1 or 2 steps on her own...but she will walk around and around the house with her siblings :)

This past week was Daddy's Spring Break and I have LOVED every minute of it. I have snuggled and loved my daddy to the point that he has become a little annoyed at me LOL. There have been times were I've refused mom so I could stay with my fun awesome loving daddy! I'm really going to miss him when he goes to school tomorrow....

So...we like to play the "Sari is SOOOO BIG" game....and she will spontaneously raise her own hands by herself now and we were trying to catch it on camera....Well the little stinker would NOT do it at all until I put down the camera. SO you have to settle for her cute giggles and scrunch nose smile :)

I ran 25 min consecutively and did intervals for a total of 60 min. I went 4.5 miles! Nash took my picture to prove that YES I really am doing it....and I didn't like the front view...so you get the back side :)

Anya, Emory, and RaeLee had a blast doing swim lessons for the past month! Anya and Emory passed level 1 and RaeLee has become a little fish. At first she was really timid about the water, but now she is eager to get in and swim :)

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON...IS A MUST SEE!!!!! We all had a blast and will be purchasing this as soon as it comes out! We are in LOVE with Toothless and wish he was real :) Great family film!

Another day at another park playing while Daddy ran :) My camera is just a point and shoot but it does allow me to manually change the settings...so that's what I was doing and some of them turned out really different!
